WINNEMUCCA, Nev. – Sept. 16, 2020 – Nevada Ducks Unlimited is pleased to announce Lee Bosch of Winnemucca, Nevada, as the chapter’s new state chair. Bosch, a DU volunteer for more than 15 years, began his new volunteer role on Sept. 1.
“We welcome Lee to his new position as Nevada DU state chair,” said DU Regional Vice President Jan Young. “The DU volunteers in Nevada look forward to working with you and appreciate you stepping up for the ducks.”
Bosch got involved in Ducks Unlimited through a friend.
“Kyle Swanson is the reason I got involved in Ducks Unlimited,” Bosch said. “Kyle showed such passion for the ducks. It was contagious. He challenged me to volunteer and take the Winnemucca Chapter to new levels. I believe we accomplished that. When I went to my first DU event in Winnemucca in 1993, about 50 people attended. Now our events sell out at more than 350 people. Now I want to help our dedicated volunteers in Nevada do the same on the state level.”
Bosch has three children and has been married to his wife, Nedra, for five years. Bosch is an accomplished golfer and, in his spare time, likes to hunt and fish and plays competitive golf all over the western United States.
Bosch succeeds Elmer Bull, who now serves as the DU Nevada State Chapter as treasurer.
“We want to thank Elmer Bull for all the time and effort he put into being Ducks Unlimited’s Nevada State Chairman,” Young said. “Nevada earned a DU Top 10 State Chapter Award last year. They were ranked No. 6 in the country and recorded double-digit growth in four categories. I know Elmer will be just as successful as treasurer and Lee will help take the Nevada State Chapter to new heights.”
