Check out some of our latest work on the Gray Lodge Water Supply Project – reconstruction of the Razorback Flume was recently completed!
The Razorback Flume is a critical component of the Biggs-West Gridley Water District’s (District) water delivery system. Located near the head of the system, this flume passes irrigation water flows of more than 800 cubic feet per second.
The flume was in disrepair and failure of it would have seriously hampered delivery of irrigation water to district customers, including Gray Lodge Wildlife Area. The reconstructed flume provides increased flow capacity at the top of the system which translates into higher flow rates and delivery reliability from the top of the system down to the Gray Lodge boundary, benefiting all District customers along the way.
