California Ducks Unlimited volunteers held their annual state convention last weekend (March 31- April 2) at Granlibakken Resort in Tahoe City, California, capping off a successful year and making preparations for the future. Attendance included current DU President Paul Bonderson, as well as his incoming successor, Rogers Hoyt Jr of Texas. Ducks Unlimited’s Chief Conservation Officer Paul Schmidt was on hand from Memphis to update convention attendees on DU’s broader conservation efforts around the county, while Western Region Director Mark Biddlecomb touched on issues within California.
