Contact Governor Brown and your state legislators today!

Mark Low, DU Regional VP of Region 1, sent out the following urgent message this morning for all DU members in California regarding pending legislation over ammunition. Please take a moment to read on this important issue:

 

Dear DU Supporter,

The California Assembly and Senate are considering requiring transaction records and banning mail order / internet sales for ammunition purchases in California. The Legislature has until August 31 to send this proposal to the Governor for his signature.

Ducks Unlimited urges you to contact your State Legislators and Governor Brown today and ask them to OPPOSE SB 53. This legislation threatens our hunting heritage by imposing more burdensome barriers to outdoor sports participation and undermines the important connections between responsible sportsmen and women and habitat conservation.

Ducks Unlimited is working hard on your behalf in Sacramento to stop this measure from being enacted. I urge you to reach out today to voice your opposition to the passage of this legislation and ask your fellow sportsmen, family and friends to do the same!
